I know I haven’t been posting much about the SCO saga anymore, but…truth is, it’s gotten boring, unless you enjoy the legal wrangling.

When this first started, people at IBM and in the Linux community were worried that there may be something behind SCO’s curtain…that there may actually be something real hiding behind all the smoke and mirrors that Darl was waving around.

Of course, by now, everybody knows there’s nothing but more smoke and mirrors behind the smoke and mirrors. SCO has, for all purposes, been backing off more and more each day, and now it’s just a matter of time before the Judges decide that enough is enough and drop all the crappy cases that SCO has been putting up, and the company ends up having to pay people to take away whatever is left of the company’s assets.

So…it’s become a non-story. SCO has become the 1/2 inch wolf trying to blow down the skyscraper with its farts, and nobody is scared anymore.

On the other hand, for those that *do* enjoy the legal fighting, Groklaw is still the blog to read, where every paper, note and article is dissected by a whole lot of smart people, starting with PJ, and a great place for people who are interested in history, like me…it’s easy to go back and look at how this whole mess started and developed over time, and remember every step of IBM’s devastating legal strategy, with a side dish of Novell’s hammering SCO’s head in…and all of it with a distinct sprinkling of Groklaw’s best.

And a couple of days ago, PJ put up a fun and interesting article that looks back at the interaction between PJ/Groklaw and SCO’s spin doctors, mainly Laura DiDio. This article is in response to yet another salvo of FUD sent by idiots through the spin doctors, and it’s a lot of fun to read…it’s easy to see that when it comes to crossing wit swords with PJ, Laura is completely outclassed.

So…go read PJ’s latest, called Laura and Me, if you have enjoyed the SCO saga, you’ll love the latest chapter.
