Well, as you have probably been reading all over the blogosphere by now, Google Analytics got a facelift.
And it’s a nice-looking facelift.
My account got the update late yesterday, and I really like what I see. The graphs, the interactivity, the representation of the data…pretty nice stuff.
Yes, I know you can hear the “but…” coming already.
The but is that there’s parts of it that don’t work for me. There’s a small menu that pops up on the map overlay screen that lets you choose a segment, like source, medium, campaign and so on…but the damn thing doesn’t work with Firefox on Linux. I can use it in my vmware’d windows, using IE and Firefox.
It may be because I’m running the 9.0beta Flash player, but…I have no clue.
Also, on the windows side, I can click on the map and drill down (ie. on the global map, click on Europe and see the data of european visits), while on linux I click and nothing happens :(
So…yes, it looks cool, yes, it has nice data, but it’s still not 100% functional, at least for linux users.
