One of the most influential SF writers of his generation, Kurt Vonnegut, died last night (April 11th) in a hospital in Manhattan, after being hospitalized several weeks ago due to a fall, which caused irreversible brain injuries, according to his wife Jill Krementz.
There’s several articles and posts about his passing away, here’s just a sampling.
- SF Signal: Kurt Vonnegut Documentary and RIP: Kurt Vonnegut
- NYT: Kurt Vonnegut, Counterculture’s Novelist, Dies
- All the crazy sounds: Kurt Vonnegut (1922-2007)
- Kurt Vonnegut, 1922-2007: Mark Twain For The Nuclear Age
I also found a re-issuing of an interview with Vonnegut done back in 1973, worth the read.
Rest in peace, Kurt, we’ll miss you, but we’ll also remember you through your words.
