Niniane Wang (the hottest googlegirl there is, IMNSHO :) posted in her blog (one of the most fun personal blogs i’ve ever read) about a conversation with another googler (Niniane, among other things, was part of the gmail team) in which they tried to decide which of the world’s billionairs could do it again.

The question is an interesting one, and something I had been thinking about, on and off, since I read her post this morning. And then, in the InsideGoogle blog, Nathan Weinberg posted his own thoughts on the matter, after having read the same post.

Of his list, there’s one person I disagree about and one other who I don’t really know what he means.

He says about Donald Trump:

Donald Trump - I’m not even trying that one :)

I mean…come one, hasn’t he done it three times already? I *know* he’s done it twice, and I *think* he’s done it a third time. That one is an easy call…Donald can do it again…and again…and again :)

As for the one I disagree with him about…Steve Ballmer. He says maybe…I say no way. Not after everybody has heard about his lovely temper and has seen the way he does business. Only SCO would hire him again, and…well, we know how good SCO is at making money :)

On the other hand, the rest of his list is good, and I have to agree with him, and add one on my own.

Carlos Slim Helú: He’s the richest Mexican there is, and he is a regular in Forbes’ list (this year he’s in #3). He inherited his starter money, and I’m pretty sure it wasn’t peanuts…but a mind like his can make money left and right without much…give him some lemons, sugar and water, and he’ll become a billionaire in a few years. He owns most of Telmex, the Mexican phone company and biggest ISP, as well as a bunch of other companies around the world, most of them telecommunications companies.
