Ok, we are 8 days away from my bday (on the 22nd :) and I just found another very very nice thing you’all could get me as bday present, the new Belkin surge protectors.
The clampable one is nice, but the one that hides the cables away rocks the world :)
I need one just like that one…but with an UPS instead of a surge protector :) I use an APC Backup-UPS ES 500, which isn’t much of a monster UPS…but it’s better than nothing, and it talks with linux and turns the computer off when the power dies for more than 3 minutes, which is usually good enough for me :)
On the other hand, my firewall doesn’t have an UPS, just a surge protector…and it’s right next to the TV and all the other crap that goes with both (cable modem, network switch, VCR, DVD player), so…one of those hide-the-cables-away surge protectors would be a very nice thing :)
