A couple of days ago I found an interesting post in David Dean’s blog called 5 excellent places to find DRM-free science fiction. In his post, David talks about two of my favorite places to get ebooks, Baen Free Library and Baen Webscriptions as well as 3 other good sites. As you may have guessed [...]

Today is linux’ 15th bday.
In a day like today, Linus Torvalds sent his magic message to comp.os.minix talking about the birth of linux which “probably never will support anything other than AT-harddisks” :)
LinuxToday’s Managing Editor wrote a nice little note about it, you should read it :)

Schneier is up to it again :) This time, he writes an article about users and security, in which his thesis is that it isn’t that users are stupid (as many security and help desk people believe firmly :) but that the people that have created and developed computers and operating systems are the ones [...]

Niniane Wang (the hottest googlegirl there is, IMNSHO :) posted in her blog (one of the most fun personal blogs i’ve ever read) about a conversation with another googler (Niniane, among other things, was part of the gmail team) in which they tried to decide which of the world’s billionairs could do it again.

The clampable one is nice, but the one that hides the cables away rocks the world :)
I need one just like [...]

Well, at long last, a new book review :) This time, it’s gonna be book three of John Ringo’s Ghost series, called Choosers of the Slain. I already reviewed the first two books, “Ghost” (which was the first post to my blog :) and “Kildar”.
In the first book we get to meet Mike Harmon, aka [...]

Well, the IBM PC will be 25 years old tomorrow (August 12th), and I found this article that was posted at slashdot. I think it makes for a very interesting read, going into the history of how the IBM PC came to be.
Mmmm…not much more to say, actually, just that it’s always worth remembering [...]

This time, the nice article was found in endgadget and it’s about a Time Fountain.
A what? A Time Fountain. The name made me curious…and when I watched the video, I got hooked…that thing rocks…if I were any good at building stuff, I’d build one of them, just so I could watch water move backwards in [...]
