Ok, Linux Extremist tends to be lots of fun…and this article isn’t the exception :) He compares the Microsoft vs FLOSS “war” to the Star Wars universe, which is something that has been done a lot, to the point that if you mention “The Empire” in most FLOSS forums, everybody’ll know you are talking about MS. The difference between this article and every other is that…Microsoft is the Republic and the Jedi while the FLOSS community is the Empire and the Sith…and it makes sense!
Yes, the Empire is evil, according to “history” but…remember that history is written by the winners…maybe the Empire wasn’t as evil as they tell us it was.
Anyway, it’s a very fun and interesting article, read it and decide…should we start claiming our Sith names? :)
