Hell, I'd use kubuntu (yes, I'm a kde user :P :) on my 64bit box, if they had gone to 64mixed instead of 64pure. From what I've read, they'll go mixed for the next release...so I'll try it then :) As for the job...I gotta hang in, no much choice about it lol! It's too big an investment to give up on it after 2 weeks :) I like Ubuntu a lot…I’ll try Xubuntu and kubuntu before deciding what’d be best for what I manage to build.
