A friend on a mailing list forwarded an email from David Drake:Edit a few minutes later: This was posted by David on his website too.

I didn’t get online yesterday, so…this is a bit late, but it’s here anyway, from Toni to Arnold, at the Bar, as usual:

I’m afraid I don’t have any good news to report from the hospital. Jim’s condition is no better.
I would like to profoundly thank all the Barflies and other folks who
have been sending their [...]

Toni has sent Arnold another status report, published by him at the Bar:

Dear Arnold & Barflies,

I spent the day at the hospital and can’t report any changes in Jim’s
condition. His nurses continue to be of a high caliber and are taking
good care of him.

Bests,
Toni
So…unfortunately, there’s no improvement…but fortunately, he’s still stable.
Keep Jim in your thoughts [...]

Toni has been sending daily status reports to Baen’s Bar, here’s the one for friday:

Just to let you and the Barflies know Jim spent another quiet night and his condition is unchanged.

I will be in the hospital all weekend and will try to take breaks to
email updates at least once a day. The NC [...]

Toni Weisskopf and Jessica Baen have posted an update report on Jim’s condition at the Baen Bar…and it doesn’t look good at all, unfortunately :(

Toni Weisskopf, chief editor in Baen Books, posted to Baen’s Bar, the web board that Jim uses to communicate with all of us, the [...]

I know I’ve been writing rarely the last couple of weeks, but things should get back to normal soon…hopefully.
Meanwhile, Bob Sutor points to the ODF Alliance Newsletter, which is a good thing to get if you are interested in how ODF is doing in the world…worth subscribing to it.

This getting-a-new-job thing is overrated. I decided that I needed something that’d give me money every day, instead of just every couple of months or so, whenever I got a new IT project.
After some thought, I decided that human vices are great money makers…but since I prefer to stay inside the law, drug dealing [...]

Well, I just tumbled on this post on Groklaw (damn, love that site :) in which PJ publishes the fact that APIG has finished the C.R.A.P/DRM study they were doing in behalf of the British government (they started it last november)…and people like me would be happy at at least some of their conclusions and [...]

I’m a Bruce Schneier fan, and read his blog every day. He usually writes interesting stuff with regards to computer security and security in general, and he finds the most interesting articles about security…and then, of course, we can’t forget his friday squid posts :)
Today he found two fun articles about security, which I’ve decided [...]
