Ok, I’ll admit…I don’t listen to music much anymore…and I don’t buy music anymore…I had a bit over 3,000 vinyl records back in the day, before my bad luck killed them all (a friend and I took both our collections of records to another friend’s house to mix some tapes…and the room burned down and we lost a bit over 7,000 LPs *sigh*), but with the prices of CDs, I gave up and stopped buying music. I listen to the radio, and mostly news stations (Imagen rules!), and…I hate the RIAA and their ilk.
I know a lot of musicians (mainly canto nuevo groups from Monterrey), and I know, for a fact, that artists get screwed over by the music industry. And then the record lables turn around and screw the buyers too. So…fuck them :)
The reason for this mini-rant is that I just found the most hilarious post in Blog of helios, and I think everybody should read it:
86 Year Old Great-Grandmother Hoists The Jolly Roger
And read the whole blog…the anecdotes Mr. Starks writes about his linux advocacy fun are nothing short of laugh-until-you-bust-your-gut :)
BTW, if you don’t know what C.R.A.P. means, you need to go here.
