The truth(?) on Linux management

I found this article in LinuxToday about a study on linux vs windows management. The study comes to the following conclusion:
This study found, at worst, a marginal difference in base resource costs
between Linux and Windows. Linux becomes less expensive when taking into
account the ability of Linux to support larger numbers of users, and the
additional productivity [...]
