Being a geek is hard work, so, what do geeks do? we create more geeks :)
I found this from…mmm…LinuxToday, I think (it was a couple of days ago, and my memory sucks and I forgot to note in the bookmark where I found it
Linux Advocacy…A Fool’s Errand or a Mission of Mercy?
Read it, it’s worth the time spent at it…it’ll give you a good perspective about linux and about good advocates…and it’ll even get you a couple of chuckles :)
On a different note, I’m posting this using Performancing for Firefox which is a blogging plugin for FF, instead of using my usual Flock. and I’m liking what I see.
There’s nothing wrong with Flock, I love Flock…but…I don’t like it as my primary browser. It rocks for blogging, but as a browser it lacks a whole lot of extensions that I use on firefox that aren’t available for Flock yet.
So…if Performancing works as well as Flock, this could be the perfect blogging solution for me :)
BTW, it’s Handy’s fault that I’m using Performanceing :)
Update: Well…I’m not 100% sure I like Performancing more than I like Flock, but it has its advantages…among them, the fact that I don’t use Flock as my primary browser, which makes it a bit of a PITA to blog about stuff I read when I use Flock only as a blog editor and not as my main reading tool.
On the other hand, Performancing needs to learn Flock’s trick for auto-trackbacking…it seems like Performancing requires you to actually give it the trackback URL by hand whenever yo want to trackback..and that’s no fun.
